American Red Cross - Northern New England: This is the official blog of the Northern New England Region of the American Red Cross. The Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Operating with the support of a small group of paid staff and more than 1,660 dedicated volunteers, the Northern New England Region serves the 3.2 million residents of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. For more than a century, Northern New Englanders have been able to depend on the Red Cross to provide disaster relief and preparedness resources, health and safety training, support for members of the military and a safe and stable blood supply.
